The City
Agriculturist shall be responsible to advise the City Mayor on
policies, objectives, plans and programs. techniques. procedures
and practices in agricultural promotion and production plans.
Supervises and coordinates all agricultural projects and
activities of the city government and coordinate with regulatory
government agencies in the research on crops and animals,
preventive control of diseases and pest, and agricultural
matters.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
provides administrative support and services requirements of the
office; performs all aspect of administrative work as required.
MANAGEMENT
INFORMATION STAFF
Provide information through radio/TV and print media on latest
agricultural and fishery technology; conduct information
campaign; relevant to programs and projects on agriculture,
fishery and forest n=management activity.
RESEARCH,
EXPERIMENT AND DEMONSTRATION UNIT
Conduct research and experimentation and fish culture to
determine viability of production and specie in the area;
provide assistance through demonstration on technique in the
production of fishery/marine and aquaculture product; serves as
a demonstration center for fisheries, aquaculture of farm
management activities.
COOPERATIVE AND AGRI-BUSINESS SERVICES
Provide for the organization of cooperative network in the rural
areas; organize group of farmers according to service of
livelihood so as to generate self-sufficiency and self-reliance
in their area of concern; provides inputs in marketing of
agricultural products so as to enhance the livelihood of farmer
recipients; provide for capitalization of livelihood project
through cooperatives.
REGULATORY
SERVICES DIVISION
Conducts inspections of outlets of agricultural products and
aquaculture marine products to determine whether they comply
with existing regulation through the issuance of permits and
payment for import and export as well as out-of-town shipment
aquaculture products; determine the extend of compliance of
rules and regulations pertinent to the sale and exportation of
marine life products.
FOREST
MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Provide information on the extend of reforestation activities;
determine compliance as to the cutting nature and purpose of
trees that are converted to lumber; conduct regular inspection
of al forest lumber and coo lumber outlets to determine
compliance of rules and regulations as well as business for its
operation.
AGRICULTURAL FIELD OFFICE (6)
Provides technical assistance to the farmers thru the use of
modern farm management production skills and the use of rural
credit facilities and marketing. Conduct training for rural
leaders and organize youth clubs and farmers association for the
promotion of mental, social, cultural. recreational and
community life of rural people |
